"
Since I began growing Chardonnay in the Alexander
Valley in 1973, my goal has been to produce the
highest quality possible, and we have spared
no effort to achieve this goal. I recall being
introduced many years ago to the greatest
dry white wines in the world, the wonderful
Montrachets of the Burgundy District of
France, and I resolved that one day my
vineyards would challenge the Montrachet
vineyards. This was an ambitious challenge,
and today our success can be savored in the
Sonoma-Loeb Chardonnays. "
